Join us for the first-ever Positive Experiences Collective Conference, a virtual event on June 25th, bringing people together from across sectors to share practical insights, tools, and stories that translate the theory of physical literacy into practice.
Together, we’ll explore how to create more inclusive, positive experiences of movement for children and young people, with sessions grounded in real-world practice, collaborative learning, and honest reflection. This is a chance to connect, reflect, and co-create a future where every child, whatever their background, develops a lifelong love of movement and physical activity.
What to Expect

Space for Change
We’re bringing together voices from across sectors to share tools, insights, and stories of what’s working in practice. Together, we’ll explore how to create more positive, inclusive movement experiences for children and young people.

Start the Day with Movement
No need for stiff intros or staying seated, begin your day with movement. Join a short, energising session to connect with your body, lift your mood, and experience the joy at the heart of our work.

From Theory to Practice Panel
Hear from changemakers turning physical literacy theory into practice. From national bodies rethinking sport delivery to local projects using storytelling to explain why movement matters. Discover practical tools, life-course thinking, and how to bring research to life through real-world action.

Co-Designing for Culture & Systems Change
Explore how co-design, prototyping, and strategic frameworks are helping reshape the systems and cultures around movement. Discover how collective creativity, engagement, and prototyping can foster inclusive and positive opportunities for every child and young person.

Patchwork in Practice
Hear honest, inspiring stories from the first cohort of the Patchwork Programme. Teams working across education, sport, family, and place-based contexts share what they’ve learned about tackling barriers, testing new ideas, influencing change, and creating more inclusive experiences of movement.

Listening Circles: Connect & Reflect
Gather in small, themed groups to share reflections, challenges, ideas and experiences with peers. These listening circles are all about connection, support, and sparking new possibilities, because we’re better when we build together.

With Brogan Brooks
Join Brogan Brooks, founder of Choose and Train and lead for Social Ark’s School Programmes, for a powerful virtual session blending storytelling and movement. Brogan champions women’s empowerment and social entrepreneurship in Newham, helping young people build confidence—especially when school doesn’t feel like the right fit.
From playing football for West Ham FC to discovering boxing as a transformative outlet, Brogan shares how movement changed her life. Her story now drives her mission to help young people gain confidence, resilience, and positive experiences through movement.
The session includes shadow boxing—no contact, no equipment—just space to move. No experience needed. Get ready to feel Brogan’s passion and energy!

Rise & Strike: Morning Martial Arts
With Andre Simon
Start your day with energy, focus and purpose in this 45-minute online martial arts session led by Andre Simon, trained Muay Thai coach and founder of Radojunkie.
You’ll begin with dynamic movement and mobility exercises, followed by basic Muay Thai strikes designed to awaken the body and sharpen the mind. The session is suitable for all levels. No prior experience is needed, and there will be opportunities for both follow-along practice and light interaction.
Andre will also share powerful insights and real-life stories from his work using Muay Thai to support underrepresented and minority young people in East London. Through Radojunkie, he empowers young people to build self-respect, confidence, leadership, discipline and emotional resilience through the discipline of martial arts.
Expect a session that energises you physically while reminding you of the strength found in community, movement and mindset.
